The Queen has included members of the police service in her most recent birthday honours list, highlighting their commitment to public service.
National Police Chiefs’ Council Chair Sara Thornton said:
“I am delighted that current and former officers and staff have been recognised in this year’s birthday honours list for their contribution to policing. Members of the police service do an incredibly difficult job and it is excellent to see the recognised for their work.
“As we work in ever-challenging times, it is very encouragingto see officers and staff reach above and beyond their potential, keeping communities safe and looking after members of the public.”
