ACPO response to Home Office announcement of new police ICT company
The Police ICT Company Ltd. is currently jointly owned by the Association of Police Authorities and the Home Office but will be handed over to Police and Crime Commissioners following elections in November
ACPO lead on information management, Ailsa Beaton said:
“Information technology is critical to the delivery of effective policing. The police service is working with the Home Office to ensure the new police ICT company meets the needs of the officers who use it”
