Chief officers respond to the act of terrorism in Manchester which claimed innocent lives.
National Police Chiefs’ Council Chair Sara Thornton said:
“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this terrible attack on young people and children enjoying a concert.
“Colleagues in Greater Manchester Police and the emergency services have acted quickly and with bravery to protect and help people. The people of Manchester who helped at the scene or offered support to those affected remind us of the very best of humanity and that together we can stand against terrorism.”
