Police chiefs from across the country met earlier to discuss male violence against women.

The Chair of the National Police Chiefs' Council, Martin Hewitt, has called an emergency Chiefs' Council meeting on Monday 15th March to address the issue of male violence against women.

Officer safety training to be overhauled and every police chief to review the equipment available to the frontline, following the findings of a review and safety survey commissioned by the NPCC and College of Policing last year.
