Welcome review into pre-charge police bail conditions
Speaking at the Home Affairs Select Committee on January 12, National Police Chiefs' Council Lead for Counter-Terrorism Policing, Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said:
"I would welcome a review of existing legislation to consider whether powers to enforce pre-charge police bail conditions could be strengthened.
"Strengthened conditions would make breaching pre-charge bail conditions an offence with appropriate sanctions, as well as giving police explicit powers to seize and retain passports"
